Sharing is caring!

In a country like Nigeria where it would be difficult to go through a whole day without having to see a place where one celebration or another is holding starting a fruit juice business will be a good idea. In every occasion fruit juice is one of the most found drinks and believes me everybody loves fruit juice.

Due to the fact that most of the fruit juice we see around are processed and packaged from other countries, they contain preservatives which are meant to give the juice a longer stay but most times tend to run peoples stomach thereby making people sceptical about drinking any kind of fruit juice. Natural fruit juice on the other hand is much advisable as they don’t contain any form of preservatives.

Natural fruit juice goes beyond just squeezing fruits but also how you process, mix and package it for sale. In this article, I will be sharing with you how you can start your own Natural  Fruit Juice Business and make money out of it.

The success of any business is how well you able to implement new methods to it and same goes for fruit juice making.  This involves you experimenting on different fruits, get to mix them together and try out their different taste example you can mix apple and banana, guava and apple etc. while doing this, and make sure to taste them yourself before producing it for the masses.  Also get to know all the types of fruits and their benefits this will help you decide how to mix them.

Register Your Business

This should have been number one but I think creativity is key so the next thing to do is register your business. Getting to start a business without registering it in a country is not only risky but unlawful and when the Government catches you be rest assured you will go to jail. So you have to register your business with Corporate Affairs Commission and other licensing Government Agencies which includes: NAFDAC, Ministry of Health, SON, NHIS before you can start your business.

Draw A Business Plan

Getting a business plan is very important as it helps you determine the cost of production and profit you will make on a monthly basis. It also helps you plan how the business would operate and who your targeted audience are and where to find them.

Get A Location

There are lots of things involved when choosing a location for your business as they have to be close to where you get your fruits from and the market where you intend to sell them. Notwithstanding, this business can be done in your house as long as you have a means to transport your goods to the market.

Get Fruits

The next thing to consider is where you will be getting the fruits and there are lots of places to get different fruits in Nigeria. Any market you enter, you are bound to see people sell fruits and you can buy from them. You may not want to start buying in large quantity since you just starting out so go some and with time you can increase in the number of fruits you purchase.

Machinery and Equipment’s

There are different equipment’s needed such as

 Knives: for cutting the fruits

Juice extractor: Used to extract the juice from the fruits

Peeler: Used to remove the outer skin of the fruits

Washing Can: For washing the fruits before you start extractions

A Blender

A Boiler

A filter

Packaging

After you have gotten your natural fruit juice having to package them is the next thing to consider. You can meet companies that are into manufacturing bottles to supply you with the bottles while you do the filling yourself.

Branding

For you to stand out in this business, you have to brand your business. This includes getting a professionally done logo, a slogan, a particular shape of your bottles etc. these are ways of branding your business.

Market Your Products

Once every other thing has been put in place, you have to make people aware of your products and this is where marketing comes in. there are different ways to market your fruit juice which includes social media, Radio, TV, Newspaper,

There is absolutely no business that is easy to do that’s why I advise everyone starting a business to make sure they give their business 100%. Learn to think outside the box, learn good communication skill, attend seminars (I actually got the idea to write on this topic from a seminar I attended), talk to expert nutritionist.
